A luxurious sanctuary designed for the future of travel within a framework of sustainability.

At Desa Hay, conscious travel and sustainable luxury are the leading ideas behind every experience.

We source local fresh ingredients for our kitchen, use recyclable and reusable quality amenities in our luxury villas, and have created a circular infrastructure and eco-design across the property.  We carefully consider everything we do to provide our guests with a truly unique and luxurious experience that gives back to the island and minimizes a travel footprint.

We are here to ensure all our activities support the community around us and contribute to the protection and conservation of the nature and wildlife of Bali.

ESG in Focus

We built Desa Hay on a blueprint of ESG and created a framework that allows us to give back and create real impact across environmental, social and governance.

Environmental: With 105 solar panels, we product a large amount of our energy with solar. We return water into the water table by sponsoring the building of recharge wells. Our food waste is minimized, and we largely use materials that we can recycle and compost.

Social: We employ local staff and contractors, use local produce and materials, and support local children through our Desa Hay Scholarship Fund.

Governance: We pay it forward through workshops, events and training modules to help provide local operators and developers with insights, skills and understanding on how to build and operate more sustainably. We hold ourselves to the highest standards and report on our impact and out footprint with full transparency.

We look at sustainability in 4 areas:
